Our first ever author spotlight is the lovely Erica Alexander.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Erica for several years now, and trust me when I say she’s as talented as she is kind.
I actually polled my reader group for interview question ideas (if you’re not a member, you totally should be) and these are the ones I went with:
What are you currently working on? My next release will be a book titled Courage, Dear Heart. It will be full of angst and tears, but will also have a HEA.
What are you reading right now? Just started Born of Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
What inspires you? Everything. My kids, my pets, my husband. Being in nature, music, movies, books. There’s inspiration in everything if you look for it.
How did you start writing? I was always a book lover and created so many stories in my head. I started writing poetry as a teenager, and from there some short stories. But I didn’t really start taking myself seriously until 2015, when I met a group of aspiring writers and we motivated and helped each other to chase our publishing dreams.
Tell me a little about your process… do you snack while you write? Have a fav spot? Listen to music? I don’t really snack. I drink a lot of water. I have a home office and that helps with limiting some of the family distractions. I listen to music, but nothing with lyrics. It has to be instrumental, and I match the songs to the mood I’m trying to create for that particular chapter I’m writing.
Where can my readers follow you? I’m on all of the social media places. But the best place to keep in touch is with my newsletter, which you can score a free novella when you subscribe!
Now that you know the lovely Erica a little better, check out the blurb for In Her Eyes, which is on sale for $1.99.
Three missing women. Two shared fates. One epic love story.
He saved my life, then disappeared.
For fifteen years, I thought of the man I knew nothing about… not even his name.
I never could have imagined I’d run into him again.
His name is Jake Knox, and he’s a jaded police detective, more devastatingly handsome than I remember.
I’m a suspect in his investigation.
And he doesn’t recognize me.
I can’t bear to confess who I am.
Not when he looks at me with so much anger and disdain.
To prove my innocence, I have to reveal my deepest secret.
He despises me for it.
But not even that can keep the growing attraction between us at bay.
Now he’s locked in a battle with himself.
He needs my help to solve a murder, but he doesn’t trust me.
Finding the killer is his fate, not mine.
If I do this, I risk becoming the next victim.
But how can I say no when I’m his only hope?
